The Scotch Whisky Directory is the first and only book to give you reliable, objective information about how Scotch whiskies taste. The purpose of the website is to tell you about the Directory, to show you samples of its Flavour Profiles, and to update the information contained in the book as new whiskies come onto the market.

The Directory believes three things to be true:-

• Firstly: the only thing which really matters about any liquor, apart from its tendency to intoxicate, is that it tastes nice.
• Secondly: you can't rely on anything which is said about liquor by people who are trying to sell you the stuff.
• Thirdly: there is a need for independent, objective and scientifically-verifiable information about the flavour of Scotch whiskies.
