 | Prodigiously phenolic, the spirit shows a bit of fruit but not a lot of flavour otherwise – which is surprising, given that its owners have made it their only heavily-peated brand, having sold off the rather superior Ardbeg some years ago. The soapy flavours which the Profile shows are usually but not always obscured by the smoke. |
